Here's how Director of Administration Greg Tenuta transformed Drive Logistics

Greg Tenuta joined Drive Logistics in June 2021 and has coordinated a lot of changes as the company continues to grow.
Hired as an HR manager, Greg’s responsibilities quickly morphed into the newly-created Director of Administration role handling all things HR, IT and accounting.

“We are a fluid company as we grow rapidly and I love the tempo at Drive, it’s a good match for my personality,” Greg said.

His day-to-day includes employee relations, professional development and managing the company’s employee recruitment goals. Greg also works with the Onboarding Team to help establish new processes to further build on Drive Logistics’ trucker centric culture.

Before joining Drive, Greg was a plant manager for a building materials company based in Jacksonville. He took part in the company’s two-year management development program with an emphasis on operations, dispatch, sales and administration.

“What I took from that experience was how to manage teams, and if you treat your people with respect, everything else falls in place,” he said. “I don’t want Drive Logistics to be stagnant, I want us to grow and maximize our potential.”

How do you see the trucking industry evolving?

For the company, I like the culture, fast pace of work, but most importantly the people. For my job, it’s the direct impact on the employee experience. With no two days being the same, there is always a new opportunity to be innovative and help guide the company’s structure and success as we grow.

What is your greatest personal achievement, professionally?

My most memorable achievements have been when I was able to contribute to my employees’ development. It is always easy to focus on your own development, but if you can directly impact others where they experience personal or professional growth, that is a great achievement for anyone.

What is the guiding principle that keeps you focused and motivated on your career?

Treat others with respect, take initiative and improve daily.
