Michael O’Leary leads Drive Logistics into the future of trucking

If you ever happen to meet the founder of Drive Logistics Michael O’Leary, he will be quick to let you know the success of Drive Logistics is not about him, but a testament to the amazing staff and owner operators the company supports.

It’s just who Michael is.

At Drive Logistics we are invested in empowering America’s truckers and providing them the tools to reach their entrepreneurial goals. ‘Drive’ offers comprehensive business solutions for truckers who want to become owner operators, but need support with the day-to-day of starting and running a successful trucking business.

With Drive Logistics and the myDrive mobile app, the company’s clients have the tools they need to haul the freight they want, when they want, where they want.

Veteran of the 82nd Airborne, Michael founded Drive Logistics in 2016 and earned immediate success. The first eight months in business, Drive surpassed its gross revenue projections by 90 percent. Since then, Drive Logistics has been honored as one of the fastest growing companies in northeast Florida by the Jacksonville Business Journal in consecutive years (2020, 2021).

A proud Jacksonville native, Michael is a graduate of Episcopal High School, various professional educational schools and a member of the Jacksonville Rotary Club.

Despite the challenging business environment of 2020, Drive Logistics was able to expand. Surpassing every benchmark the company set in terms of growth for 2020, Drive is focused on hiring, adapting and expanding. Drive Logistics occupies significant office space in the Riverside neighborhood near downtown Jacksonville, FL., and will continue its expansion in the coming months.

With a professional legacy that continues to grow on the First Coast, Michael has a track record of success dating back to the early 2000’s.
Prior to founding Drive, Michael served as President of The Grimes Companies - a regional operation that handles warehousing, packaging, staffing and trucking services.

Prior to joining to Grimes, Michael served as President for North Florida Glass Industries where he exponentially increased sales volumes prior to selling his interest in the business.

With two decades of logistics experience, Michael’s expertise includes organizational development, turn-around, purchasing, business acquisition, contract negotiation, management team building, marketing, business development and strategic development.
