Average Annual Pay for Truckers Reaches Nearly $70,000 in 2021

Truckers saw their pay increase nearly 20% last year, according to a new study released from the American Trucking Associations

Truckers earned an estimated median annual income of $69,687 in 2021, including salaries and bonuses but not benefits, according to the recently released ATA’s 2022 Driver Compensation Study.

At Drive Logistics, we are invested in empowering America’s truckers and providing them the tools to reach their entrepreneurial goals.

‘Drive’ offers comprehensive business solutions for truckers who want to become owner operators, but want support with the day-to-day of starting and running a successful trucking business.

Trucker annual pay is once again one of the top issues facing truckers this year. According to the American Trucking Associations 2022 Driver Compensation Study, the average annual pay for a national trucker reached $69,687 in 2021, up 18% from 2019.

Driver compensation is not limited to direct driver pay, and many fleets utilize performance bonuses as an additional way to compensate and reward drivers for safe driving and other metrics.

With trucker pay climbing, many truckers are searching for innovative ways to cash in on their expertise. This is where the Drive Difference can help.
